Law is a very broad area of study that enhances the knowledge of a particular country's legal structure, including the general legal structure across the globe. Law studies can be divided into criminal law studies, public law studies, administrative law studies, constitutional law studies, and so forth. European Law studies offer general, aggregate knowledge about the law structure of Europe and an in-depth understanding of the European Union's structure.

European Law is an umbrella term that covers Central and Eastern European Law, Southern European Law, Baltic Law, and Western European Law to name a few.
