Neuroscience is a branch of science that deals with the study of the functioning of the human brain. Through the years, neuroscientists have tried to investigate the complications and smooth out the functioning of the brain in order to better understand it, and as a result, to understand ourselves better. Modern neuroscience began around the end of the 19th Century when the discovery of neurons was made, but the first-ever recorded study of the brain can be traced back to a hieroglyphic in ancient Egypt. A physician in that era wrote down a list of head injuries, listed potential remedies, and created the first instance of the word for the brain. Neuroscience has traditionally been classified as a branch of biology and life science. These days, it is an extremely interdisciplinary science that has close ties with other subjects, such as mathematics, engineering, linguistics, computer science, philosophy, chemistry, psychology, and medicine. Neuroscience experts study the different functions and operations of the nervous system and how these affect a person's behaviour.
