An Electrician is a person who deals with installing, maintaining, or repairing devices or wiring. They usually specialize in electrical wiring for buildings, transmission lines, stationary machines, and electric devices or infrastructures. Other types of roles for an electrician include wiring for ships, airplanes, mobile platforms, and data and cable lines. Electricians also specialise in marine, research, and hospitals.

The two main categories divided for electricians are linemen who work with higher voltages and wiremen who work with lower voltages. Wiremen are trained in one of the five specialties such as commercial, residential, and industrial. Construction electricians are more inclined to large projects such as fixing and repairing an entire electrical system on buildings or a floor of an office building. Electricians are usually employed by licensed electrical contractors who provide them with the required materials and communicators with architects, engineers, and customers. These contractors are responsible to hire qualified electricians as well as testing the safety of the equipment used by the electricians. Electricians can get employed by the military forces as it constantly requires their equipment to operate properly in top conditions.
