Vocational and Skilled Trades

Vocational or skilled-based education is also known as Career and Technical Education (CTE) or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). It prepares people for specific trades, crafts, and careers that involve practical activities at various levels in all spheres of life. Vocational courses, though they are more short-term and specialised to a particular skill as compared to academic degrees, they are also included as courses and programs in colleges, universities, as well as technical institutes.

Vocational Education Implementation can contribute much to the economic growth and the society for young people to effectively enter the workforce. Practical courses aid the student to gain skills and experience directly linked to a career in the future. Students pursuing vocational and skilled trade courses have a high chance of direct employment since many employers expect new employees to have all the practical skills they need to enter the workforce.
