Informatics deals with the study of the configuration, conduct, and interrelationship of natural and engineered computational systems. The science and engineering of information systems are combined and applied together through this sub-discipline on Informatics.

Information science deals with the productive collection, storage, retrieval, and usage of information. It focuses on the processes of storing and transferring information and aims to bring together concepts and approaches of different disciplines like library science, computer science, engineering, linguistics, and psychology, in order to come up with techniques to handle and aid the assemblage, storage, reclamation, illustration, and application of information.
